200 years history Manufacturing Steel

Alabama is holding onto the growth seeded by transportation manufacturing. Aerospace, Automotive, Ocean Vessel, and Rail manufacturing across the state appear to be fueling appreciable, long-term growth. In step, "ditto" infrastructure construction, steel production and specialty steel processing.

For those who arrived from Canada, Germany, Scandinavia, Japan, Korea, India, Latin America, and other foreign soils, we sincerely hope that you are finding Alabama to provide the high quality lifestyle that you and for your families desire. We sincerely appreciate your arrival, and we welcome all of you into our lives. May you find these people and this soil to exceed your expectations, and may you truly feel at home.

It has taken years to centralize an automotive manufacturing base here, in Alabama. Original investment was soon followed by heavy construction, then hiring, training, and re-training. Start-up production brought in workers from across America and from around the world. 1st-tier, 2nd-tier and 3rd-tier automotive companies found it more profitable and beneficial to locate nearby. En route toward expansion, a few years of recession forced all the manufacturers to become extremely lean. Even through the recession, production stayed alive and ahead of the rest. Those who remain appear to be the strongest of the strong, those who never say quit.

The amount of awards are stunning. Hyundai, Honda, and Mercedes and all their multi-tier support are succeeding to high acclaim. Automotive Manufacturing in Alabama is here to stay.

Onward with improvements. Soon, we may move forward with Electric cars, maybe along with some Natural gas, and eventually, possibly Hydrogen fueling. Maybe a little mojo from Elon Musk (Tesla), a few lessons learned from trials nearby Germany, and hopefully with the support from Linde (Hydrogen), our auto manufacturers welcome all the challenges.

Robotics companies, Heavy Equipment manufacturers, and Automated Machine manufacturers found themselves relocating here, as well. Manufacturing and production facilities across the state continue to move in. All the while, major Distribution Centers have slowly made their presence known.

To quite a surprise, Residential construction is now "holding its own." In many of the greater metropolitans, there's another new neighborhood with homes selling, SOLD. Auburn, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, and outskirt counties all seem to be building more new homes.

Today, there's construction all over Alabama. The economy is certain to grow.

We need more help to Invent some Agricultural Machinery. The latino population just left for North Carolina.
